 A high calibre professional, with over 13 years’ experience in this sector. Laverne joined M. V. Roberts & Company, LLC, in September 2013. She has developed her Business Development Manager role from more than ‘just sales’ into a multi-faceted role encompassing; working in conjunction with manufacturers to develop their sales strategies, providing on the ground insight into competitor activity, consulting on marketing tactics, representing brands at trade or consumer events.

 Prior to her current role, Laverne was an over achieving business development manager for Sleek (UK Haircare Extensions brand).Previously responsible for over £2.6million annual turnover. Opened and maintained accounts worth over £500k per annum. Built up over 150 new accounts. Over achieving her sales target, year after year.

  She is always keen to win and increase business and has built up numerous personal contacts within the sector which will ensure new business and accounts are immediately brought to the companies she represents.

 Having sold affordable and luxury hair extensions, salon professional haircare and retail haircare brands to hair salons, independent beauty supply stores, online retailers and high street multiples, Laverne has built up a wealth of knowledge encompassing, PR, marketing and product development andenjoys an excellent working relationship with numerous key contacts within industry

 Phil is a Senior Operations and Business Development Specialist with experience in National Account Management, Far East Purchasing & Import, Warehousing (incl. Medicines & Vitamins), Fulfilment, Logistics, Store Ordering, In Store Merchandising, Field Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Point of Purchase Manufacture, Point of Purchase installations, and Store refits.  

 Throughout his career, Phil has been responsible for significant growth in all areas he has worked. He is a visionary in respect of identifying customer needs and matching or adapting product and services to meet those needs as exemplified with our UK market Initiative.  Phil identified a significant increase in market segment growth to potentially triple sales of the ethnic haircare product to wider user groups within the UK. This is supported with excellent statistical analysis and market research resulting in a multi-texture hair care approach being adopted by retailers through our selling activity in the UK.

 Phil has worked with major retailers and key suppliers in the UK for 12 years and has excellent contacts in this area in particular in regard to; Store Installations, POS/Promotions, Merchandising, Health & Beauty and Supply Chain Solutions.


Bobby Abdulla

 A key industry player, whose lengthy service means that he has an impressive network of contacts and influence in the European market. In early 1990’s Bobby Abdulla was instrumental in helping retailer Haz Afro, London set up his beauty supply store in Wembley Park,  and within a year they had expanded into wholesale and distribution.

 His marketing skills have been utilised by: Doo-Gro, Frisk Industries Products and Shake & Go (Milky Way) hair extensions and wigs for Afro World.Bobby nurtured and developed the Shake & Go (Milky Way) brand helping to establish the Beauty Wholesale distribution business.

 Discovered and terminated counterfeit versions of Mitchell Group products, and went onto expand their existing range and successfully launch with distributors in the UK and Dubai.

 Secured distribution for Feme Ltd (Sensational Hair extensions) and jointly exhibited at the Beauty World Exhibition, Dubai.

 A trusted adviser to UK distributor, Janson Beauty Wholesale in regard to company structure, strategy, sales and marketing.
